John Edward "John Boy" Cole, Jr., 51, transitioned from this life on January 25, 2026 in Monroe, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 6 pm on Friday, February 6, 2026 in the chapel of Hester Central State Funeral Home, 811 Louise Anne Avenue, Monroe, Louisiana. Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 585 Mount Pleasant Road, West Monroe, Louisiana. Burial will immediately follow at Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery, 585 Mount Pleasant Road, West Monroe, Louisiana.

Perhaps you aren't ready yet to have to say goodbye, Perhaps you thought of things you wish you'd said, Well so have I. For one thing, I would have told you not to worry about me, I'm with the Lord in Heaven now, you knew that's where I'd be. I'm sorry that you're feeling sad for I'm so happy now; I've asked the Lord to ease your hurt and comfort you somehow. It's hard at the beginning but I know you'll make it through, I hope it helps to knows that I'll be waiting for you.
